JACKSON Tenn (June 17, 2015) – United Way of West Tennessee invites the people and organizations of West Tennessee to join them for their annual Day of Action.
United Way’s Day of Action is June 21.  “We are encouraging people to get out and volunteer the week of June 21st”, said Scott Conger, President of United Way of West Tennessee.
A Day of Action is presented by United Way Worldwide each year, and is an opportunity to collectively raise volunteer awareness in each community.
Conger said “Each group chooses their own project, and projects can range from cleaning up playgrounds to delivering meals to families in need, or even reading to children.”
This year’s Day of Action will take place the week of June 21st.
