Kevin Cron hit his 14th home run of the season for the Jackson Generals in a 9-4 win over the Tennessee Smokies, at the Ballpark at Jackson, Sunday.

The Generals pounded out 13 hits and Jackson starter Joel Payamps (1-1, 5.73 ERA) picked up the win despite allowing four runs and eight hits over six innings.

Tennessee starter Zach Hedges (6-5, 4.06 ERA) took the loss after allowing seven runs and eight hits over 5 2/3 innings.

The Generals and Smokies resume their five-game series at the Ballpark at Jackson at 6:05 p.m., Monday.
