JACKSON, Tennessee – The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department confirms an 81-year-old female died Jan. 12, 2022 due to complications from COVID-19. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 355 in Madison County.
The health department has received positive test results for 1,195 more cases of COVID-19 since Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022. We now have 23,977 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Madison County – 18,964 have recovered.

These numbers do not reflect a backlog of positive Madison County cases. Our office is working seven days a week to get caught up and get labs imported into our database. New infections take priority. We will continue to report confirmed cases as epidemiology staff verify positive cases are Madison County residents.
