Corey Currie leaves Jackson-Madison County School System for executive leadership team at Haywood County Schools

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn.– Corey M. Currie will join Haywood County Schools’ staff this fall.

Currie will be a part of the executive leadership team as the executive director of equity, learning loss, and stakeholder engagement.

“He will be instrumental in the district’s work with each student on learning loss and recovery due to COVID-19,” Director of Schools Joey Hassel wrote in an email.

Currie attended Haywood County Schools K-12 and is a 1993 graduate of Haywood High School. His post-secondary education includes an MBA from Bethel and he’s working on his Doctorate in Leadership at Union University.

Currie leaves the Jackson-Madison County School System for his new assignment.
