(August 14, 2013) Jackson, Tenn.- The Community Redevelopment Agency received statistics and updates about the downtown project at their meeting on Wednesday.
The Lift Center now has approximately 2,700 members. They are seeing 900 members a day come to the center.
They reported that Beyond Vogue, the Jackson Walk's first retail store, had opened and that Rock ’n Dough Pizza Co., a pizzeria and microbrewery had plans to open there in the future.
The apartments around the Jackson are leasing out with 53 deposits down. The final building will be completed in 2 months. 2/3 of those leasing apartments there are people coming from outside of Jackson.
The board was given an update that the amphitheater near the farmers market should be completed by the end of the month.
They were also informed that the construction on the dog park had begun. They are seeking a grant for play equipment for dogs in the park.
