City of Jackson holding 11th annual Community Clean-Up Day

JACKSON, Tenn. – The City of Jackson’s Health and Sanitation Department will host its 11th Community Clean-Up Day on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Public Works Yard, located at 164 Conalco Drive.

 

This bulk waste disposal event provides residents with an opportunity to properly discard large household items that are not typically collected through standard waste services. Accepted items include tires, mattresses, furniture, and other bulky items weighing over 50 pounds.

 

Will offer free paper shredding for all participants. Additionally, the first 20 residents to participate will receive a FREE large tarp.

 

Event Guidelines:

· Open to City of Jackson residents only
· No commercial drop-offs allowed
· Limit 6 tires per vehicle
· Furniture (including recliners and sofas) will be accepted
· No appliances with Freon or refrigerants
· No hazardous waste accepted
· Free paper shredding

 

This event is part of the city’s continued commitment to promoting clean, safe neighborhoods and responsible waste management.
