On July 2, 2018, the Madison County, Tennessee Grand Jury indicted Quinton Devon Perry, 22 years of age, of Jackson, and Saulsbury, Tennessee, for 24 counts of Aggravated Sexual Exploitations of a Minor.
The indictment was the result of an investigation stemming from a cyber tip sent to the Jackson Police Department by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicating that images of child pornography had been uploaded to Dropbox.
Further investigation by investigator Karrie Hart of the Jackson Police Department identified Quinton Devon Perry as the person associated with that account and the person responsible for uploading the images.
The investigation revealed that approximately 168 images of child pornography had been uploaded by Perry.
On June 17, 2019, the Defendant entered a guilty plea and on July 29, 2019, the Defendant was sentenced by Judge Don Allen, to the Tennessee Department of Corrections to serve a total effective of 18 years without parole.
“Let this case send a message to those who trade in child pornography, eventually you will be caught and you will be prosecuted,” said Jody Pickens, District Attorney General, 26th Judicial District, “The least among us, our children, deserve the protection of law enforcement and the right to have a childhood which being a victim of this type of steals from them.”
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney General Matthew Floyd and investigated by Investigator Karrie Hart of the Jackson Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children.
