After moving services to the Child Advocacy Center due to the pandemic, operations at the center at 178 Airways in Jackson have resumed.
The main center on Cheyenne Drive in Jackson has remained open.
The Jackson Chamber Red Coats helped Executive Director Pam Nash and staff cut the red ribbon for the reopening while observing the center’s 40th anniversary while also observing Child Abuse Prevention Month.
A reception was held afterward.
The Airways location is used for parenting classes and therapy, and as a resource for relative caregivers.
Nash told the crowd the dedicated staff and numerous volunteers have been caring for neglected and abused children for 40 years and asked for continued prayers. Nash urges anyone who suspects that a child is in danger to report it, adding that you could be saving a life.
