On May 4, 2021, at approximately 5:52 p.m., Timvoise De’Shad Lambert, twenty-three (23) years of age, shot and killed Jacob Riley, twenty-one (21) years of age, near 541 Pinehurst Drive in Henderson, Tennessee, during an attempted especially aggravated robbery.
On that date, the Henderson Police Department (HPD) responded to Mifflin Road in relation to an individual who had been shot in the chest receiving an injury that ultimately caused his death. The investigation revealed that the victim and a witness had gone to the residence located 541 Pinehurst Drive address for the purpose of selling marijuana.
The Defendant exited the house at that location, produced a handgun, and attempted to rob the victim of the marijuana. When the victim pulled his own handgun in self-defense, the defendant shot him in the chest. Working together, agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), which had been called in to investigate the matter, and investigators from HPD conducted a search of the residence at 541 Pinehurst and located a Taurus .40 caliber handgun that was determined through ballistic testing to be the murder weapon.
Agents with the TBI performed forensic extractions on cell phones seized from the Defendant’s possession. Among information recovered from the Defendant’s phones were text messages from both the day prior to the murder and the day of the murder, wherein the Defendant was asking if someone would set up a robbery for him.
On February 27, 2026, after a two-day trial before Judge Joseph Howell in the Chester County, Tennessee Circuit Court, the Defendant was convicted of Murder in the Perpetration of Attempted Especially Aggravated Robbery and Attempted Especially Aggravated Robbery.
Sentencing is set for April 10, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. where the Defendant faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison for the murder and eight (8) to twelve (12) years for the conviction for Attempted Especially Aggravated Robbery.
“I am very appreciative of the hard work done in this case by the Henderson Police Department, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Assistant District Attorneys General Justin Prescott and Brad Champine, and lastly the citizens of Chester County who served as jurors on this case,” said District Attorney General Jody Pickens. “Particular appreciation goes out to Special Agents Celinda Davidson, Alex Davis, Derek Miller, and Assistant Special Agent in Charge Michael Parson all of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and Henderson Police Department Investigator Phil Willis all of whom had primary responsibility for the case. Even though nothing will bring him back, my office, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Henderson Police Department were able to achieve a measure of justice for the victim as well as his family and our hearts go out to them.”
