Jackson Christian is pleased to announce the appointment of Chase McLean (08) to the position of head baseball coach.
Coach McLean has been affiliated with Jackson Christian baseball for the past 14 years. Chase McLean has been an assistant/pitching coach at Jackson Christian for 10 years. During this time, he has been a part of a program that has made 4 state tournament appearances, won 4 district titles and a TSSAA state championship in 2014.
Coach McLean stated, “I am grateful for the opportunity to lead a program that has played such a vital role in my life. I am most looking forward to pouring into our young men and having a chance to impact their lives the way that so many coaches did for myself. I can’t wait to get back on campus and get to work with Team 41!”
Jackson Christian’s athletic director, Jason Shelton, stated, “We are excited to hire Coach McLean to lead our baseball program. As an alumnus, Coach McLean was impacted by the program and has influenced student athletes in the years since. His appreciation for the program and what it can do for those involved will provide an avenue for him to continue to use the game of baseball to build young men for Christ.”
Dr. Mark Benton, president of Jackson Christian added, “Coach McLean possesses the traits we look for in head coaches. He loves his players with the love of Christ and will continue the great baseball tradition of excellence on our campus.”
Coach McLean is a 2008 graduate of Jackson Christian and has spent 14 plus years in the program. He holds the honor of helping bring state titles to Jackson Christian as a player and a coach.
McLean is married to Rachel Jetton of Paragould, Arkansas.
