A resident of Somerville, Charlie Harrell believes Jackson is the right location to open Carrico’s Pizza, at 1370 Union University Drive in Thomsen Farms, in late October.

“We looked around (West Tennessee) and Jackson is growing so much, and Thomsen Farms looks like the area that is exploding the most,” Harrell said, “I’ve worked for the Milano’s Pizza chain, and this will be my first time to own a restaurant.”

Named for his grandparents, Carrico’s will occupy about 1,400-square-feet, with seating for 40 people.

Besides pizza, Charlie said Carrico’s will offer additional items that include pizza rolls and pasta.

“It will be staffed by me, my brother John, and Jesus Garcia,” Charlie said, “We’ll be open six days a week … closed Mondays, but we’re still discussing that.”
