JACKSON Tenn (December 2, 2015) — JPD Chief Julian Wiser released the following statement:
At approximately 9:55 pm officers with the Jackson Police were dispatched to the area of Conger and Allen Streets for a shots fired call.
Upon investigation they located a deceased victim on Conger Street
Chief Wiser confirms a 25-year-old black male deceased from multiple gunshots transported to a local hospital.
Officers are canvassing the neighborhood and interviewing residents but currently have no witness information or suspect descriptions
Chief Wiser said the shooting is not believed to be random and asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 731-424-8477 or the Jackson Police Department Violent Crimes Unit 731-425-8400
