The next stop for Bill Lee is the Governor’s Mansion, following his inauguration, Saturday.

Lee, a Republican businessman from Franklin, literally came out of nowhere to become the 50th Governor in Tennessee history in the Nov. 6, 2018 midterm election.

A relentless campaigner, Lee scheduled stops in each of the 95 counties in 95 days in the states, and he outdistanced Karl Dean, a Democrat and former Nashville mayor, 1,336,106 votes to 864,863.

His inauguration was moved to Nashville’s War Memorial Auditorium due to inclement weather.

It was the first time in more than 40 years the event was not held outdoors in front of the state Capitol.
