The Bethel Wildcats finished the 2024 season with an impressive 7-3 record under the leadership of Head Coach Michael Jasper. The season was highlighted by key victories—including a 20-6 home opener over Point University, a thrilling 33-31 win over Lindsey Wilson in four overtimes, and a dominant 58-0 shutout of Faulkner to close the year.
Statistically, the Wildcats showcased a balanced and efficient attack, averaging 342.3 yards per game (204.1 rushing and 138.2 passing) and nearly 27 points per contest. Defensively, Bethel stood among the NAIA’s best, allowing just 264.8 total yards and a mere 13 points per game, with opponents managing fewer than 100 rushing yards on average.
Coach Jasper resigned in December 2024 to accept a position at Stetson University, leaving behind a program built on grit, strategy, and unity. His leadership helped cement Bethel’s reputation as one of the NAIA’s most compelling teams.
Looking ahead, the Wildcats turn to a familiar face. Coach Chris Springer—entering his ninth season with the program—takes the reins as Head Coach after years of service as defensive coordinator, associate head coach, and recruiting coordinator. Known for his disciplined defensive schemes and deep ties to the program, Springer aims to sustain Bethel’s momentum and lead the Wildcats back into national playoff contention in 2025.
With a strong returning core and a new era of leadership, the 2025 Bethel Wildcats are poised to keep McKenzie proud and continue building a championship culture.
