Jackson TN, July 7, 2011 – Thursday wrapped up day two of interviews for the two finalists vying to be the next Director of School for Jackson / Madison County
Thursday afternoon the school board hosted a town hall meeting for Dr. Beth Wright,

Superintendent of Schools, District Three, Florence County, SC, This is Beth Wright’s second time to interview for the position. Five years ago she was second to Dr. Nancy Zambito for the job.
The town hall meeting began at 4:00 PM in the City Council meeting room of City Hall. Wright fielded questions from citizens and school board members for 6 hours. About 100 people were present to meet Beth Wright and hear what she had to say on a variety of topics:
One participant told Wright that real estate agents were promoting private schools over public schools to people relocating or new to the area. Dr Wright replied that when people buy houses maybe they shouldn’t use those real estate agents who don’t support public schools.
