Beth Sigler Haltom and Ontoni Reedy were presented with the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy after taking first place overall in the third annual Dancing with the STARs competition, which was held at the Jackson Fairgrounds Park, Thursday.
The event served as a fundraiser for the STAR Center.
“What an experience … It was so much fun stepping out of my comfort zone for such a fantastic organization,” Beth Haltom said, “The Star Center reaches so many in our community. It was an honor for all the dancers to shake it for a good cause … Definitely a night to remember … Put it on your must do list for 2019.”
Founded in 1998, the STAR Center provides services for education, employment, and quality of life for all ages and needs. The STAR Center’s mission is to help any person with any disability realize their potential.
