From the Humboldt Police Department –
On March 13, 2024, at 5:23 p.m., officers of the Humboldt Police Department were dispatched to U.S. (Highway) 45 and Esquire Peek Road in reference to an automobile crash with multiple injuries.
Upon arrival, officers found two vehicles were involved.
One vehicle was traveling north on U.S. 45 and another was entering the highway from Esquire Peek Road.
The vehicle traveling north on U.S. 45 did strike the vehicle entering the highway from Esquire Peek Road. As a result of the crash, Arthur L. Tate, an 86-year-old male from Humboldt was pronounced dead at the scene.
Nellie Tate, 85, from Humboldt, also died from the result of the accident.
