According to sources, the presence of first responders at Marathon convenience store at the corner of the U.S. Highway 45 Bypass and Old Hickory Boulevard, was not law enforcement related.
The Jackson Police Department, Jackson Fire Department, Hazmat Unit and Jackson Energy Authority responded to a gas leak at the facility.
Marathon is closed with yellow tape around the fuel pumps. Cones are in place to keep people off the property.
