JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson Police say two brothers are charged in connection with a convenience store robbery in north Jackson.

27 year old Joshua Johnson and 25 year old Anthony Johnson are charged with robbery.

Around 7:45 p.m. Monday evening Jackson police responded to the Exxon gas station at the intersection of Carriage House Drive and North Highland Avenue.

According to investigators a store employee was waiting on a customer when a man wearing a mask pushed the clerk and grabbed money from the register.

The clerk was able to pull the mask off the second man’s face before he ran from the store, according to court documents.

Police say they were able to identify the two suspects as Joshua and Anthony Johnson.

Anthony Johnson told investigators that he had never seen the man who robbed the clerk, investigators later determined that the two men are brothers, court documents say.

Both men are currently held in the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex in lieu of $25,000 bond each.
