Jackson TN – The Madison County Sheriff’s Office, specifically the School Resource Officer Division and Criminal Investigation Division, has made an arrest and charge in connection of a 16-year-old student at Liberty Technology High School with making threats of mass violence towards schools under TCA 39-16-517.
The student was recently arrested at a residence within the City of Jackson and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
Madison County Sheriff Julian Wiser commends the MSCO School Resource Officer Division and the Criminal Investigation Division for their swift investigation, resulting in the prompt arrest in connection with this incident.
“We will continue to provide an extra law enforcement presence at Liberty Technology High School throughout the rest of the week,” Sheriff Wiser said, “We must remain vigilant and work together as a community to ensure the safety of our students within the Jackson-Madison County School system.”
