A Mid-Town apartment building was recently burglarized and the person responsible has been arrested. Jackson Police took at report on April 22nd that the apartment building located at 907 North Highland Avenue had been burglarized. Investigators with the Jackson Police Department’s Burglary & Theft Unit conducted an investigation and Richard Wayne Pickard, 43, of Jackson was identified as the burglar.
Several water heaters were stolen from Highland Court Apartments, which is currently not occupied. The building belongs to an investment company located in West Tennessee. It is not currently occupied and awaits possible renovations.
Richard Wayne Pickard was arrested by officers of the Jackson Police Department on a state warrant charging him with Burglary and Theft of Property over $500. He was formally arraigned in Jackson City Court. He is being held in lieu of $10,000 bond.
