Annual Lawn & Garden Show at West TN AgResearch & Education Center, July 11

The annual Summer Celebration Lawn and Garden Show will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, July 11, at the West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center at 605 Airways Blvd., in Jackson.

Hosted by the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture, visitors will be able to enjoy garden talks, an extensive plant sale and access to the UT Plant and Pest Diagnostic Clinic.

Speakers at the Celebration will provide garden inspiration with an emphasis on solutions.

Admission is $5 for adults and free for children under 18.

Visitors can start their day at 9 a.m., shopping for hard-to-find ornamentals at the Master Gardener plant sale, or visit the Exhibitor Tent featuring more than 40 local businesses selling plants, lawn equipment, garden art and crafts.

Garden talks begin at 9 a.m. and repeat throughout the day – indoors and outdoors.

The UT Kitchen Divas will provide tips and tricks for meal prep that save time and money, with a cooking demonstration – ‘It’s a Pepper Party.’

Join the UT Kitchen Divas to sample treats that bring all the flavor without the temperature.

Admission: $5. Tickets will be sold outside the north entrance of the main building.

Tickets for 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and noon sessions will be on sale at 9 a.m., and tickets for 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. sessions will be available at 12:15 p.m.

A wagon tour of the West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center rounds out the program, with tours departing every 30 minutes.
