PRESS RELEASE
(August 22, 2013, Jackson, TN) – As a result of a small number of students at Denmark Elementary developing a mild rash earlier this week, the Jackson-Madison County School System, Jackson-Madison County Health Department and Emergency Management are working with the school officials to determine the possible cause of the rash. The effected students have been evaluated by their medical doctors and released to return to school because the rash was deemed not contagious. Students are being closely monitored by the school health department, and to our knowledge, no other cases have been identified at the school today.
The Jackson-Madison County School System will continue to take all necessary precautions to respond to the needs of our students and the community. The district appreciates the collaborative effort of everyone involved in resolving this issue.
