Alexander Thompson Arnold PLLC (ATA) announces it has merged in Cannon & Company P.C., Fred H. Page & Co. Ltd., and Myriad CPA Group effective December 31, 2017.
“ATA is excited to broaden our reach in our current Memphis and Tupelo markets and expand our presence in Kentucky and Indiana,” said John Whybrew, managing Partner of ATA. “Each of these new firms and partners, bring unique expertise which compliments ATA’s current services and niches and strengthen our capabilities to better serve our clients.
“Overall, we are excited to begin 2018 with these new additions and look forward to a successful future.”
ATA has an office in Jackson at 227 Oil Well Road.
According to a press release, Cannon & Co. has served the Memphis area since 1959 and has built a well-established reputation within the community. J. Schifani will be a Partner, and David Cuicchi and David Curbo will become Principals of the firm. Additionally, Cathy Messerly of Cannon & Co., will be promoted to Partner effective January 1, 2018.
Fred H. Page & Co. has served the Tupelo, Mississippi surrounding areas since 1973. Page’s accounting career spans over fifty years, specializing accounting and tax for businesses and individuals. Page will join the firm as a Principal.
Myriad CPA Group has served Henderson and Owensboro, Kentucky and Evansville, Indiana since 2011. Myriad CPA Group formed when three firms from Owensboro (Schwartz CPA Group), Henderson (Neel, Crafton, & Phillips) and Evansville (Richard Campbell and Company) all combined. Richard Campbell, Brian Crafton, Kris Kemp, and Mac Neel, III will join the firm as Partners, and Bud Crafton will become a Principal at ATA.
In addition to these three mergers, Mark Puckett joined ATA as of December 1, 2017 from BDO USA, LLP. Puckett will serve as a firm-wide Tax Partner and will be based the firm’s Memphis office. Over the past 36 years with BDO BDO USA, LLP in Memphis, Puckett has held many top leadership positions including Office Managing Partner (Tax), Regional Managing Partner (Tax), and Managing Director (Tax).
