Business Spotlight – Dr. Xiangke ‘Sean’ Huang new Interventional Cardiologist at The Jackson Clinic
(Jackson, TN) The Jackson Clinic is excited to welcome Dr. Xiangke “Sean” Huang to its Cardiology department. Dr. Huang joins as an Interventional Cardiology specialist with extensive training and experience in performing advanced procedures.
Dr. Huang attended medical school at Peking University Health Science Center in Beijing, China, followed by a research year at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in The Bronx in New York City before going on to earn his M.S. in Statistics from the University of Memphis in Memphis, TN. He completed an Internal Medicine residency and a Cardiology fellowship, both at Erlanger Health System with the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga, TN, then completed a second fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Baystate Medical Center with the University of Massachusetts in Springfield, MA.
Prior to joining The Jackson Clinic, Dr. Huang held numerous positions with Vanderbilt University, serving as an Interventional Cardiologist and Assistant Professor at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, and as Medical Director for two cardiology services in Lebanon, TN: the Chest Pain Center at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital and the Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute Lebanon Clinic.
Dr. Huang is board-certified in Interventional Cardiology, General Cardiology, and Internal Medicine. He is now seeing patients at the Jackson Clinic-Baptist Campus at 145 Innovation Drive.

YMCA breaks ground on new Child Development Center at BlueOval City, prepares to provide childcare in 2026
- The YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South and Ford celebrate the groundbreaking of the new YMCA Child Development Center at BlueOval City, which will provide childcare for employees and local residents
- The YMCA Child Development Center at BlueOval City is designed to help remove barriers to employment for local residents, providing care for as many as 175 young children, along with care for school-age children during school breaks
- Ford collaborated with the YMCA to gather input from residents, shape the development of the facility and bring together key investors for this project
- Public and private funding for construction and ongoing operation of the YMCA center totals $8 million so far, with significant support from the Tennessee Department of Human Services and Tennessee Department of Economic & Community Development
STANTON, Tenn. – The YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South broke ground on the new YMCA Child Development Center at BlueOval City in Stanton, Tennessee, Tuesday, Nov. 4.
The groundbreaking ceremony signals the start of construction for the childcare center, which is on track to open in 2026. The project is designed to help remove barriers to employment for local residents.
“The YMCA is committed to strengthening community by empowering young people, improving the health and well-being of people of all ages and inspiring action in and across communities,” said Brian McLaughlin, president and CEO, YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South. “We look forward to expanding access and helping to meet the needs of families throughout West Tennessee.”
The YMCA Child Development Center at BlueOval City will serve as a childcare hub for the entire region – providing care for as many as 175 children, aged 6 weeks to 5 years old. The facility also plans to provide before- and afterschool care programs and meals to school-age children. The new YMCA center will accommodate employees by offering operating hours tailored to their work schedules.
The site of the state-of-the-art center is conveniently located off Highway 222, less than a mile from BlueOval City. Spanning 15,500 square feet, it will feature dedicated childcare rooms and a multipurpose room for activities.

Jackson Metro Narcotics conducted an underage alcohol operation August 29, 2025, and clerks in nine Jackson businesses inside the Jackson City Limits denied informants who were trying to purchase beer illegally.

Demolition begins at former Chili’s restaurant for new Chick-fil-A
The first step for a new Chick-fil-A has started at 2200 Emporium Drive with the demolition of an approximate 5,985-square-foot building that was a former home of Chili’s.
The new Chick-fil-A restaurant will offer 85 parking spaces at the 1.726-acre lot.
Chick-fil-A is located at 3 Stonebridge Blvd., 16 Tinker Hill Road in front of the Old Hickory Mall on the southwest corner of North Highland Avenue and Tinker Hill Road, and inside the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
