Former Memphis Grizzlies star Tony Allen was arrested in Poinsett County, Arkansas, during a traffic stop on November 5, according to local authorities.
Poinsett County Sheriff Kevin Molder said deputies pulled over a silver car driven by William Hatton, with Allen riding as the passenger, on Interstate 555 near Payneway around mile marker 18.
When officers approached, they noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle and asked both men to step out.
A search of Allen turned up a package of marijuana in his possession. Hatton admitted that drug paraphernalia found in the car, which contained marijuana residue, belonged to him.
Inside the car, deputies discovered a cigarette box in the passenger seat that held a white powder, which field-tested positive for cocaine.
Both Allen and Hatton now face charges of possessing less than 2 grams of cocaine or methamphetamine and less than 4 ounces of marijuana. Hatton was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and improper lane usage.
The two were booked into the Poinsett County Detention Center
