Leading the way is Beth Bolton, Visit Jackson’s new Chief Executive Officer. A fifth-generation Jacksonian, Beth has spent more than 20 years in tourism and hospitality, including 18 years as a travel agent and over a decade in hotel management with Hilton and Marriott brands. Her love for Jackson runs deep, and she’s passionate about helping others discover why it’s such a great place to visit—and call home.
Joining Beth is Paige Keith, Group Sales and Marketing Director. Paige is no stranger to Visit Jackson TN or the tourism industry—she’s thrilled to be back on the team and continuing her work promoting Jackson as a must-visit destination. Demolition of former hotel on North Highland Avenue giving way to …
Englewood Baptist Church, which purchased the former home of Travelers Hotel – 2247 North Highland Avenue, will convert the 0.58 acres into additional parking.
Demolished earlier this week, the 6,525-square-foot hotel was constructed in 1950 off Interstate 40 at exit 82.
Business Spotlight – USJ’s Haylen Ayers signs NIL contract with New Balance
University School of Jackson five-star basketball player Haylen Ayers has signed a Name Image and License (NIL) contract with New Balance.
Ayers, a junior at USJ, joins other notables such as Karlyn Pickens, a softball pitcher at the University of Tennessee, and UCLA freshman basketball star Sienna Betts.
They join household names Cooper Flagg, Cameron Brink and Kawhi Leonard as part of the company’s roster.
Of the recently announced athletes, Ayers is the youngest to join New Balance. The class of 2027 five-star prospect is considered the No. 1 shooting guard in her class, where she’s also viewed as a top-three player nationally by 247Sports Composite.
During the summer at the Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) Nike Nationals, Ayers was one of the top players, averaging the fourth most points at 18.7 while shooting over 47% from the field, 44% from three-point range and making 79% of her free throws.

A Jackson native, University of Tennessee All-American, nine-year NFL veteran, Super Bowl Champion, and Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame inductee — Trey’s story comes full circle as he returns home to serve his alma mater.
Join us in welcoming Trey to the Bruin leadership team!
Trey and his fellow offensive linemen helped Tennessee lead the nation in total offense his senior year, averaging 482 yards per game when the Volunteers won the 1997 SEC Championship.
UT compiled a 40-9 career record during his playing days.
Trey, a 2008 Jackson-Madison County Sports Hall of Fame inductee and member of the organization’s Board of Directors, played center and served as team captain for the University of Tennessee his senior year.
Named All-SEC third team and All-American at UT, Trey was selected by the Denver Broncos in the seventh round of the 1998 NFL Draft.
The Broncos won the Super Bowl his rookie season.
A nine-year veteran, Trey also played for the Buffalo Bills – 2002-2005 – and the New York Jets for one season before his retirement from professional football.
In 2013, Trey was inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.
