Business Spotlight – Trey Teague named USJ’s Director of Development

From the University School of Jackson

We’re thrilled to announce that Trey Teague, a proud USJ alumnus, has been named our new Director of Development!

A Jackson native, University of Tennessee All-American, nine-year NFL veteran, Super Bowl Champion, and Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame inductee — Trey’s story comes full circle as he returns home to serve his alma mater.

Join us in welcoming Trey to the Bruin leadership team!

Trey and his fellow offensive linemen helped Tennessee lead the nation in total offense his senior year, averaging 482 yards per game when the Volunteers won the 1997 SEC Championship.

UT compiled a 40-9 career record during his playing days.

Trey, a 2008 Jackson-Madison County Sports Hall of Fame inductee and member of the organization’s Board of Directors, played center and served as team captain for the University of Tennessee his senior year.

Named All-SEC third team and All-American at UT, Trey was selected by the Denver Broncos in the seventh round of the 1998 NFL Draft.

The Broncos won the Super Bowl his rookie season.

A nine-year veteran, Trey also played for the Buffalo Bills – 2002-2005 – and the New York Jets for one season before his retirement from professional football.

In 2013, Trey was inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.
