From the Hardin County Fire Department
On August 9, 2025 at approximately 4:15 p.m., Hardin County Fire responded to an incident on the Tennessee River involving three individuals.
This was not a boating incident.
One individual was able to be rescued by a nearby boat (but) the other two individuals, unfortunately drowned, both individuals have been recovered. Please say a prayer for the friends and family of those involved.
