Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers targets opening date

 

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers will open their newest location at 1035 Vann Drive in Jackson, Tennessee, by late December 2025.

 

Construction on the 2,821-square-foot restaurant, replacing the former TGI Fridays, is moving quickly with walls already up.

 

The site will offer parking for 65 vehicles and feature Cane’s signature chicken fingers, Cane’s Sauce, and Texas Toast.

 

Preliminary site plan approved for ‘The Shops of Campbell Street’

 

The consideration of a preliminary site plan for The Shops of Campbell Street, has been approved by the Jackson Municipal Regional Planning Commission.

 

Proposed to be located at 130 Campbell Oaks Drive, near the Hampton Inn & Suites – off Interstate 40 – the Planned Unit Commercial Development – if approved – will be constructed on 1.76-acres, and offer 44 parking spaces.

 

Plans were submitted by A M Investments on behalf of RMR Investment Co., LLC.

Commercial property demolished on Vann Drive; site plan pending

 

Site plans are now pending at a commercial property previously approved for a new car wash – Tidal Wave Auto Spa at 788 Vann Drive.

 

The property has been sold, and now demolished.

 

The lot consists of approximately one acre and a 5,040-square-foot facility, once home to Geisha Japanese Restaurant before the property was leased to Wings ETC., Grill & Pub.

 

The site plan for the car wash showed the facility would consist of 4,000-square-feet.

 

SHJ Development LLC sold the property to Store Master Funding XXXIII for $1,600,000.

 

Beer Board approves 2 special occasion, 1 business permit during monthly meeting

 

The Jackson Beer Board approved permits for one business and two special occasions during their monthly meeting at City Hall, Tuesday.

 

Mark Winston was approved for a special occasion permit for an event known as Summer Breeze, to sell, store, and serve on August 23, at Jackson Fairgrounds Park.

 

Jonathan Ross was approved for a special occasion permit for an event known as The Jackson TN Pride, to sell, store, and serve on September 27, at the Carl Perkins Civic Center.

 

Gilbert Leon, manager, Jonathan’s Grille, 35 Chloe Place, was approved for new permit due to a management change.

 

Property on Vann Drive approved for rezoning on First Reading by City Council

 

The consideration of an ordinance to rezone property located at 191 Vann Drive from General Residential to Planned Unit Commercial Development, was approved on the First Reading by the Jackson City Council during their monthly meeting at City Hall, Tuesday.

 

Original plans for the 5.03-acre development call for a walkable community – residential and retail.

 

While home owners in the area of Country Club Lane and Seventeen Green voiced their opposition to the proposal citing additional traffic congestion in the area, 80 duplexes became the next option for developers.

 

Council members J.P. Stovall, Richard Donnell, Larry Lowrance, Russ McKelvey and Julie Holt approved the rezoning – Candice Busby, Frank McMeen, and Marda Wallace voted no. Johnny Dodd was absent from the meeting.

 

Gateway Tire & Service Center opens new location

 

Gateway Tire & Service Center has opened at it new location – 3217 Highway 45 Frontage Road – at the southwest corner of U.S. Highway 45 Bypass and Old Humboldt Road.

7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. – Monday through Friday

7 a.m. – 12 noon – Saturdays

 

Gateway Tire & Service Center has closed its 817 Vann Drive location.

 

Established in 1929, Gateway Tire & Service Center provides a wide selection of tires and automotive services to customers from locations across Mississippi and Tennessee.

 

The first Gateway Tire & Service Center was a retail shop in Batesville, Mississippi. Almost a century later, the company has grown to over 40 locations.
