Payless ShoeSource has filed bankruptcy and is closing 378 stores, including two of its three locations in Jackson.
Payless is having a liquidation sale at 85 F Stonebrook Place in West Towne Commons and 2097 S. Highland Ave.
The company’s store at Old Hickory Square, 1970 N. Highland Ave., will remain open.
Based in Topeka, Kansas, the company has $1 billion in assets and up to $10 billion in liabilities, with more than 100,000 creditors.
