JACKSON Tenn. (March 30, 2017)  –  Due to the threat of severe weather several area schools have made closing decisions.

According to the National Weather Service, “Severe thunderstorms are expected to develop across Eastern Arkansas around noon on Thursday. The storms will intensify as they push east of the Mississippi River during the afternoon hours. Damaging winds, large hail, and tornadoes will be possible across the entire Mid-South. A few tornadoes could be strong east of the Mississippi River. The threat for severe weather will end by 8 PM Thursday night as the storms push east of the Mid-South.”
