JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson Police say a gunshot victim went to the hospital in serious condition after Monday shooting
Jackson Police and EMS responded to a call of shots fired on Willa Drive just after 12:30 p.m. Upon arrival police say they discovered a victim in serious condition suffering from gunshot wounds.
According to JPD Chief Julian Wiser the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Thanks to a quick response by officers and good information from witnesses police were able to identify and stop a vehicle at a convenience store in the area that matched the description.
Multiple people were detained and the Chief said at this time they are not looking for anyone else.
The victim’s name and condition has not been released.
