The Tennessee Alcohol and Beverage Commission suspended the liquor license of Red Lobster, 123 Stonebrook Place for five days in January.
It was the second time Red Lobster has had its liquor license suspended.
The announcement was made when the Jackson Beer Board met Tuesday at City Hall.
“The suspension was on the agenda just as a notification that the Tennessee Alcohol and Beverage Commission had issued a suspension,” Charles Rahm, chairman of the Jackson Beer Board said. “It will be placed on a future show cause at a Jackson Beer Board meeting.”
Red Lobster company officials did not return telephone calls.
Additional business conducted by the Beer Board included –
A special occasion permit was issued to Brad Davis, to sell, store and serve beer at an event to be held April 6, at the Jackson Fairgrounds Park. The event is the QDMA West Tennessee Branch Crawfish Boil.
The Beer Board approved an application Joe Adrian Sanders, owner the Chicken Coop, 1410 E. Chester St., for the purpose to sell, store and serve beer on the premises where sold.
Past issues prevented Adrian Johnson from obtaining a permit to sell, store and serve beer at Adrian’s Restaurant, 541 Carriage House Drive, inside the AllSuites Hotel.
“In my opinon, (Johnson) does not have the character or the responsbility to possess a permit,” Rahm said. “He has not proven himself to possess a permit.”
