CROCKETT COUNTY Tenn — Crockett County Deputy Calvin Fields has been arrested. He is set to be arraigned Tuesday in Federal Court on various charges, after a multi-agency investigation, according to Sheriff Troy Klyce.
The sheriff announced the charges on the department’s Facebook post on Monday.
According to the post, The investigation began Jan. 19 and later the Sheriff requested assistance from the 28th Judicial District Violent Crime and Drug Task Force, the District Attorney General and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
“The men and women of the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office are highly disappointed and could use your prayers at this time,” Sheriff Klyce said in the post. “While being disappointed, at the same time I’m very proud of CCSD investigators and staff for holding themselves together while seeking the truth under such great duress.”
Fields has been fired but the social media post doesn’t identify what charges the former deputy is facing.
