Last Day For Early Voting in this Presidential Election

JACKSON Tenn – Thursday is the last day of early voting for this Presidential election

Today in History, Wednesday, Nov. 2, the 307th day of 2016. There are 59 days left in the year. Today’s Highlight in History: On Nov. 2, 1976, former Georgia Gov. Jimmy Carter became the first candidate from the Deep South since the Civil War to be elected president as he defeated incumbent Gerald R. Ford.

The next to last day of early voting saw 2064 voters cast ballots at the early voting site.

The grand total of voters who have voted early or absentee is now at 22,943. This represents over 36% of the 62,929 registered voters in Madison County.

The last day of early voting is Thursday, November 3^rd. Voting hours are from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm. located at the Madison County Agricultural Complex Auditorium located at 311 North Parkway in Jackson. This is the only site in Madison County where early voting is held.

A photo ID issued by the State of Tennessee government or the US Federal Government must be presented in order to vote early or on Election Day. This ID does not have to be current. IDs issued from other state governments will not be accepted. IDs issued by local governments will not be accepted.

Voters who have not voted after Thursday must vote at their designated polling place on Election Day.
