Groundbreaking for new rehabilitation hospital

JACKSON, Tenn. – West Tennessee Healthcare and HealthSouth Corporation held a groundbreaking today for their future inpatient rehabilitation hospital located at 616 West Forest Ave. in Jackson. The name of the new inpatient

hospital, Spire Rehabilitation Hospital, was unveiled at the presentation
which was attended by local elected officials, West Tennessee Healthcare
leaders and leadership from HealthSouth Corporation.

Remarks were given at the presentation by Julie Taylor, CEO of Spire
Rehabilitation Hospital;  James Ross, interim president and CEO of West
Tennessee Healthcare; Dr. Lisa Piercey, executive vice President for West
Tennessee Healthcare; Mayor Jerry Gist of the City of Jackson; Mayor Jimmy
Harris of Madison County; and Jay Grinney, president and CEO of HealthSouth
Corporation.

Spire Rehabilitation Hospital will offer 48 all-private patient rooms
including one isolation room, four bariatric rooms and 10 rooms equipped
for patients needing dialysis treatments.  Also included in the
57,066-square-foot hospital will be a therapy gym, courtyard, dining and
dayroom areas.

The new hospital will open for patient care in the third quarter of 2017.
