JACKSON, Tenn. – October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Victims and survivors were honored Tuesday evening with a candlelight
vigil.Tuesday night supporters gathered at the Safe Hope Center on Roland Avenue in
Jackson for a candlelight vigil. According to Safe Hope Center site
director Jennifer McCraw, the event was organized by the Wo/Men’s Resource
& Rape Assistance Program.Elected officials, first responders, law enforcement along with church
leaders from the community all participated in the service.WRAP serves victims of domestic violence in 14 counties of West Tennessee.
