JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson Madison County school official and board members, community leaders early college high school freshmen and sophomores gathered on Monday morning for the official ribbon cutting for the new Jackson Central-Merry Early College High School.The school currently has about 140 ninth and tenth grade students.
Tthe program is designed to expand each year as students are promoted and
within two more years to be a full 9 – 12 grade school. This is the second year for Early College High. Last year, it operated out of North Side High School.
Students have the opportunity to graduate with a certificate in one of four tracts and can
accumulate duel college credits. Some students will graduate with their
high school diploma and have an associate’s degree by their senior year.
