Carroll Co. Tenn. – Tennessee Bureau of Investigation officials say a Tennessee Highway Patrol employee
has been charged with solicitation of statutory rape involving a teenager.

45-year-old David Rorer, of McKenzie, was indicted by the Carroll County grand
jury on one count of solicitation of statutory rape,

According to the release. Rorer is no longer employed by the THP.

TBI along with the assistance of the Department of Children’s Services investigated the case.

According to investigators Rorer made inappropriate statements to an
underage female in an attempt to initiate a sexual relationship.

David Rorer was booked into the Carroll County Jail on a $1,000 bond.
