CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Police in Clarksville are investigating the discovery of devices that steal consumers’ credit card information on the ATMs of local banks.
The Leaf-Chronicle reports a customer found a skimming device affixed to a bank ATM on Saturday in Clarksville.
Clarksville police say in a news release that the devices also were found at two other ATM locations.
The skimmers read customers’ debit and credit card information. Thieves also have used the devices in other cities at gas pumps.
