JACKSON, Tenn. – The Ned R. McWherter West TN Cultural Arts Center invites the public to an art gallery reception on Friday, Feb. 7, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., celebrating two exhibitions.
In the upstairs gallery, The Griot Collective of West TN presents “The Poetry of Black Hair: An Exhibition on Beauty and Resistance.”
Meanwhile, the lower gallery will feature UpstARTS!, a Collegiate Student Art Exhibit displaying works from students across universities in the West Tennessee region.
Both exhibitions will be on display throughout the month of February.
Admission is free.
