From the Jackson Police Department

We can confirm that officers responded to a shots fired call at (Slim Chickens, 6 Channingway).

Upon arrival, they found one victim suffering from gunshot wounds. During the investigation, officers learned that other individuals possibly connected to this incident were arriving at local hospitals.

Preliminary investigations suggest that this was not a random incident and appears to have been targeted.

There is currently no threat to the community. This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Jackson Police Department at 731-425-8400.
