Humboldt Chapter of the Community Foundation of West TN donates $4,000 to support local nonprofits

Humboldt, Tenn. – The Humboldt Chapter of the Community Foundation of West Tennessee donated $4,000 to local nonprofits during a check presentation in Gibson County on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.

The following organizations received donations from the Humboldt Chapter:

  • Boys and Girls Club of Humboldt – $1,500
  • Humboldt Rescue Squad – $1,500
  • Helping Hands of Humboldt – $1,000

“It is rewarding to see the impact these organizations make in Humboldt, and our chapter is proud to support them in serving our residents,” said Brad Webster, Humboldt Chapter Advisory Board Member. “We are grateful to work alongside inspiring nonprofits to strengthen Humboldt together.”

Chapters contribute to a variety of charitable purposes and organizations within their communities across West Tennessee. A local advisory board is appointed and has the responsibility for fundraising and grant-making in their geographic area while the Community Foundation oversees their work and provides administrative support.

“Our chapters play a vital role in connecting us to our rural communities, and we are excited to see the Humboldt Chapter actively engaging with local needs,” said Beth Koffman, Chief Operating Officer for the Community Foundation. “We look forward to seeing how our affiliates continue to expand our impact.”

The Community Foundation has three chapters in Gibson County, including Humboldt, Milan, and Trenton, and a chapter in Henderson County. To learn more about its affiliates or how to get involved, visit www.cfwtn.org.

The Community Foundation of West Tennessee was established in 1985 to strengthen the health and well-being of the region by serving as a catalyst for positive changes in the arts, education, healthcare, and other causes. It enhances the quality of life for residents by supporting programs, initiatives, and organizations serving rural West Tennessee. Learn more at www.cfwtn.org.
