Darren Bowling is not interested in the quantity of football players he coaches at Trinity Christian Academy – it’s the quality of the player.
“We’ve got, what we feel, are the kids who care, the kids who want to be here, kids who love football … that’s what we want,” said Bowling, who begins his second season as TCA’s head football coach. “Kids who want to put in the effort and the time.”
With over 30 years teaching and coaching experience, Darren Bowling, who won four state high school football titles at Union City High School, also served at Obion County Central, Indianola (Mississippi) Academy and Murray (Kentucky) High School.
“We feel really, really good about the talent level we have this year,” he said. “We’re getting better and better every day and we’re excited about getting going.”
Bowling said the roster comes to 30 players with seven – to eight – starters returning – on both sides of the ball.
TCA opens the 2024 season on the road at Chester County, Friday, August 23.
