Jackson, TN – Officers with the Jackson Police Department are investigating a shooting that resulted in a death in North Jackson. On Sunday, July 14 ,2024, at approximately 12:50 p.m., officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to a 911 call of a shooting at 51 Marlow Drive.
Upon arrival, officers found 31-year-old Winston Pearson lying in the driveway of the residence with multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Pearson had already succumbed to his injuries when officers arrived.
Investigators quickly developed Daniel Lake, a 24-year-old man, as a suspect in the shooting.
Lake has been charged with First Degree Murder and Tampering with Evidence at this time.
Lake was taken into custody on Monday afternoon and transported to the Criminal Justice Complex.
Lake will be formerly arraigned on his charges in Jackson City Court on Tuesday morning.
