Jackson, Tennessee – Our Jackson Home, in partnership with Jackson Hidden Tracks, will host
the seventh annual Porchfest event in midtown Jackson, from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., July 31, 2024.
The event is a part of the annual 731Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the city and the people of
Jackson.
According to a press release from Maddie Steele McMurry – editor in chief Our Jackson Home – communications manager theCO – the Porchfest event will be held at five homes around the Campbell Lake area of midtown. It will begin on Prospect Avenue, continuing on Crescent Avenue, and conclude on North Lake Drive.
Since its inception, Porchfest has transformed the front porches and yards of homes in the Lambuth Area Neighborhood Association (LANA) into vibrant outdoor music venues. For the second consecutive year, local visual artists will install temporary art at the five host homes.
Local musicians and visual artists collaborate together to create an evening of live performances and engaging art experiences in the heart of the community.
The musical lineup this year includes local musicians Izzy Arthurs, JamirOTB, Paper Watch, Alice
Hardin, and Aisha D. DuBose.
Visual artists designing the stages for each performance include Crystal
Brown, Katie Howerton, Adam Carlucci, and Elvia Trejo.
