The Jackson Rotary club made its transition of leadership Wednesday when Melinda Reid transitioned into the role of past president and Carolyn Vaughan became the new Rotary president.
In addition to Carolyn becoming the president, she was also presented a plaque for being Rotarian of the Year for 2023-2024.
The process of becoming the Jackson Rotary club takes more than three years by serving in different rolls as program chair, vice president, and then president.
The Jackson Rotary club is over 100 years old and has nearly 100 members.
The organization meets at First United Methodist Church in Clayton Hall each Wednesday at noon. Rotarians are decision-makers, business owners or leaders in local nonprofits.
