Brad Jones, who served as an assistant coach with the Memphis Grizzlies from 2019 through the 2024 season, has been relieved of his duties.
Jones, a 1990 Lambuth University graduate, became the head men’s basketball coach at the school in 1996 after serving as an assistant for six years.
He left Lambuth for a position as a scout with the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association.
Jones began his relationship with the Grizzlies in 2018, when he was hired as the Memphis Hustle’s head coach for their development team’s second season.
After one season with the Hustle, he joined the Grizzlies’ staff as an assistant coach.
Jones was one of five coaches released by the Grizzlies.
