Underage alcohol operation – 9 convenience stores deny sales; 3 cited for selling to minors

Jackson Metro Narcotics conducted an underage alcohol operation at 14 Jackson businesses – one closed, one no alcohol on the premises – inside the Jackson City Limits, March 28.

Nine businesses denied sales to informants who were trying to purchase beer illegally, but three clerks were cited for selling to minors.

East Chester Street Express, 1296

BP @ Hillcrest Circle, 1625 East Chester Street – five time offender, different owners

South Highland Mini Mart, 3919 South Highland Avenue

Raceway, 59 Bolivar Highway

Mobil, 2016 South Highland Avenue (store is closed)

Bull Market, 1706 South Highland Avenue

Neighborhood Food Mart, 1430 East Chester Street

Fuel City, 1321 East Chester Street

Sunoco, 1215 Whitehall Street (no alcohol in store)

Amoco, 1400 Highway 70 & Parkway

Sqrl Gas Station, 354 Whitehall Street
